Investing in society to transform a better Africa

Dignified lives, free from violence, for every girl and boy in South Sudan.

HOFAD is an indigenous national NGO working at the family and community level across South Sudan — through education, protection, peacebuilding and economic empowerment — so that every girl and boy can live free of gender-based violence.

Who we are

A national NGO built by South Sudanese, for South Sudanese communities.

Girls and boys in South Sudan face a number of challenges from family to societal level — limited access to education, ownership of land, access to better health care, and increased sexual harassment in almost every fragile location. HOFAD envisions a holistic society where every girl and boy has access to education, health care and gender equality.
